AJCongress thanks House members

american jewish congress logoNEW YORK (Press Release) –Jack Rosen, president of American Jewish Congress has thanked Members of the House of Representatives who signed on to the bipartisan letter opposing the American Studies Association (ASA) vote calling for an academic boycott of Israel.

“AJCongress is in full support of the Members who stand with those who believe in academic freedom and the democratic values shared by the United States and Israel.” Rosen went on to say.

The letter itself declares, “…to single out Israel… suggests thinly-veiled bigotry and bias against the Jewish State. This morally dishonest double standard has already been rejected by well over 100 university presidents, with several member universities even withdrawing from the organization in protest.”

AJCongress encourages Congress to continue addressing this issue and calling out bigotry and anti-Semitism whenever and wherever it presents itself.

The following are the members who have signed the letter and have taken a stand against the boycott and placing limits on academic freedom.
