JERUSALEM (Press Release)–Israel’s President Shimon Peres has expressed the shock and dismay felt by the people of Israel upon hearing of the disastrous capsizing of the Sewol ferry, his office has announced.
In his letter sent to South Korean President Park Geun-hye, President Peres expressed the shock and dismay felt by the people of Israel upon hearing of the disastrous capsizing of the ferry Sewol on April 16, which tragically took so many lives.
President Peres wrote: “Know that the people of Israel are with you at this time of mourning and my heart goes out to the families of the victims and the Korean nation. From Jerusalem we pray for the recovery of the healing survivors and wish you strength and fortitude.”
