“Anniversary Waltz” At Old Globe Feb. 25
Southwestern Jewish Press, February 21, 1958, Page 5

“Anniversary Waltz,” the long-run New York comedy hit by Jerome Chodorov and Joseph Fields, is the next attraction scheduled for the Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park.  It will open Tuesday, February 25 as a San Diego Community Theatre production under the direction of Craig Noel and will continue nightly, except Mondays, at 8:30 through March 23.

The play tells the riotous story of a blissful couple in the midst of celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary when the husband in a moment of over-enthusiasm lets slip a few choice family secrets.  The news shocks the wife’s parents but it merely whets the precociousness of the couple’s two teen-age children.  The daughter tells the story on a coast-to-coast television show and the father responds by kicking the screen of their TV set, thus giving in to an inpulse of long-standing.

The Globe cast of “Anniversary Waltz” will be headed by Andy Anderson, long-time Globe favorite, and Mimi Sunkel as the harassed couple, Sharon Bard and Jeff Lustig as their children, and A.L. Anderson and Clytie Chivington as the wife’s parents.
