SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — The Men’s Club and Caring Committee of Beth Israel of San Diego are co-sponsoring on May 21st at 6:30 pm a presentation by Kelli Denton RN, director of Seacrest at Home, a new program being offered through Seacrest Village Retirement Community.Joining Denton will be one of her associates, Jon Schwartz, the community liaison at Seacrest at Home.

The new home care program available through Seacrest Village will be of interest to those of us who may have a future need for special care for ourselves, parents or grandparents. This program offers assistance such as daily support at home for such activities as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal planning, light housekeeping and laundry. It also provides errand shopping (in client vehicles), or will provide escorts to medical and other appointments. There are many other services offered through this new “at home” program that the speakers will elaborate on at the Dinner Forum.

Denton moved to Southern California from Western New York to launch Seacrest at Home in 2012, as the Director of Home Care.  She has 30 plus years of nursing experience including oncology, infusion therapy, home health and home care. She has received certification by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), OASIS Certificate and Competency Board (OCCB) as well as an executive leadership certification from e-Cornell University.

Schwartz  began working for Seacrest at Home in February of 2013 as the Community Liaison.  He  holds a BS in Entrepreneurship from Indiana University as well as an MS in Gerontology from USC.  At USC, his emphasis was focused on how to reduce admission to institutionalized care facilities, such as hospitals and nursing homes.
