SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Write Out Loud presents its first evening of Jewish short stories, Bubbeleh, Listen to This, at 7:30 p.m on Monday, June 16, at North Coast Repertory Theatre, 987 Lomas Santa Fe Drive., Solana Beach.
“Jewish literature is replete with wonderful stories about Jewish life,” says Write Out Loud Artistic Director, Veronica Murphy. It was not easy choosing which pieces we would include. There is so much to choose from. But we think Bubbeleh will be a wonderful evening of delightful, heartfelt, and uplifting stories.”
Selections include Dubinsky on the Loose by Joseph Epstein (Walter Ritter, actor); Brother Beetle by Isac Bashevis Singer (Eric Poppick, actor); Uncle Julius and The BMT by Ethel Rosenberg (Pat Launer, actor); Elvis, Axl and Me by Janice Eidus (Rhona Gold, actor); A Photograph (by Rabbi Laurie Coskey (Sandy Campbell, actor) and Homage to Isaac Babel by Doris Lessing (Veronica Murphy, actor)
