SAN DIEGO─In a vote that split along party lines, the House Committee on Rules approved pursuing John Boehner’s lawsuit against President Obama. Coincidentally, President Obama introduced legislation to ban frivolous lawsuits.

Fiscal hawks are losing their plumage. Rick Perry dispatched 1,000 members of the Texas National Guard to deter unaccompanied minors and children with their mothers from entering Texas. This will cost Texas taxpayers 1.3 million dollars a week even though the illegal immigrants have been surrendering to federal border guards. The House Committee on Rules rejected an amendment to the lawsuit against President Obama which would have required the House of Representatives to disclose weekly how much it is spending to prosecute the case.

It took nearly two hours for an Arizona prisoner convicted of murder to die from lethal injection. After the first ten minutes, it seems fair to revive the prisoner and give him a life sentence since the extra time constitutes a lethal form of double jeopardy.

Ukrainian separatist commander Igor Girkin claims that the passengers aboard Malaysian Airlines MH17 were already dead and drained of blood before the plane crashed. Although this resembles the plot of an episode of the television series Sherlock, the AMC network has begun negotiating with Girkin to use the idea for its new series The Flying Dead.

The Islamic State blew up the mosque located at the site of the tomb of Jonah. Here’s a cause that can unite most Christians, Jews, Muslims, and members of Greenpeace.
