More than 2,000 people at Montevideo, Uruguay, came together to show support for Israel in an event that was organized by the Jewish community of Uruguay and the Zionist organization of Uruguay. Sylvia Ascher, one of the participants, told Tazpit News Agency that: “We went because Jews here are absolutely Zionists, identified with Israel and Judaism. We stand by Israel as we have always done, and lots of our sons daughters and families made Aliyah to Israel and still do so every day, despite the situation. We have many of our children fighting now in the IDF, and there are big Uruguayan communities all across Israel, and in places like kibbutz Ein Hashlosha.” Ein Hashlosha, in southern Israel, has been under constant attack.

In Tucumán, Argentina, hundreds carrying Israeli flags gathered at the main square in the city to show support for Israel and demonstrate against terror in an event organized by the DAIA (Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas). They read out messages denouncing Hamas terror and in support of peace in the region. This event was one of several that took place in Buenos Aires, Rosario, Parana and other large Argentinean cities.

Some 2,000 pro-Israeli demonstrators were separated by riot police from a few dozen pro-Palestinian protesters chanting anti-Israeli slogans in the center of Marseille, France. “We are here to show our solidarity with Israel, which has been attacked and has a right to defend itself,” William Labi, head of the body governing Jewish congregations in Marseille, told Reuters. The protest was also organized by the community’s umbrella group CRIF. Marseille has been the scene of several violent anti-Israel demonstrations.

In Budapest, Hungry, over four thousand people packed one of the biggest European synagogues located in the city and hundreds more gathered in front of the building to participate in a pro-Israel event. Ilan Mor, Ambassador of the State of Israel, András Heisler, the Hungarian Jewish Communities President and Sandor Németh, senior pastor of the Faith Church spoke at the event. All called for solidarity with the Jewish State. Ambassador Mor highlighted that the Hamas has committed and continues to commit crimes against humanity, like the Nazis in their time, and so Israel has the right to defend itself.

Pastor Németh stressed the need for a firm stand against hatred, violence and lies. He stated that Hamas’ crimes and are continually threatening Israel and its population, and therefore: “Every decent person shall stand against radical Islam, as Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, and the only power that can maintain peace in the region.”

  1. I am so tired of people hating us for defending ourselves. So much hate now in Europe, of course the Middle East, and increasing here in America. Please accept my love for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Unconditional love. Our love is stronger than their hate. I pray for you and your people. I am all out of forgiveness for Hamas and the rest of the fundamental Islamic terrorists. I support you 100%. Your devoted friend forever………..Chris Cortopassi………….clcortopassi@gmail.com
