SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Jeff Silver, owner and founder of Rough Draft Brewing Company, a local craft brewery, will address the Beth Israel Men’s Club at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19. Silver home-brewed beer for more than 20 years before going professional four years ago.

Silver, who is also a member of Beth Israel, founded his brewery with a very specific mission: to “craft innovative, high quality, delicious beers.” He will provide an overview of the process of brewing beer and will explain the differences surrounding five specific beer styles. All adults attending will have the opportunity to taste and get a professional overview of several India Pale Ales, Belgian style beer and a barrel aged beer. The samples provided will be great accompanying beverages for the deli style dinner during the speaker program.

This event doubles as our annual Jewish Family Service “Embrace a Family” program, which provides holiday gifts to families in need. Due to state law requirements only Beth Israel Temple members can be served any of the craft beers. The deli dinner will be provided for all who bring new, unused unwrapped toys and/or gifts, grocery scrip or gift certificates (per attendee) valued at $14 or higher. All gifts collected, or $14.00 collected for those who choose not to bring gifts at the event, will be donated to Jewish Family Service. Please RSVP via the following link http://cbisd.org/event/mc-forum-silver/.

Reservations are requested by no later than November 17. Contact is Judi Schwartz, Men’s Club staff coordinator at jschwartz@cbisd.org, or 858-900-2598.
