ENCINITAS, California (Press Release)  – The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities will host its 37th Annual Gala, “Emerald City” on Saturday, Feb. 21s at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla with Rusti Bartell serving as Gala Chair. The annual gala raises funds to benefit Seacrest Village’s Resident Assistance Fund, and hundreds of guests are expected to attend to support the scholarship program for current and future residents who have depleted their financial resources. The evening will celebrate the many residents and families whose lives have been transformed as a result of the care and services they receive at Seacrest Village.

The Wizard of Oz themed evening will feature a cocktail reception at 6pm, live auction, dinner at 7pm and entertainment including dancing and music by the Eve Selis Band. The Fund-a-Need goal is $150,000 to raise funds for 60 medical-surgical beds and mattresses for the Joseph & Dorothy Goldberg Healthcare Center. Short and long-term residents receive comprehensive, state-of-the-art physical, occupational and speech therapy services and 24-hour nursing care in the Goldberg Healthcare Center which is Medicare and Medi-Cal certified.

“Our Gala theme conveys we have the heart, courage and wisdom to carry out our mission of providing services to seniors in a Jewish environment that promotes community, independence and innovation.  For 37 years, the San Diego community has turned out in impressive numbers to help raise money that gives hope to seniors who are desperately in need of housing, comfort and support,” said Pam Ferris, President/CEO of Seacrest Village. “I am truly looking forward to yet another successful annual gala. Every year we gather to support this very important mission while having fun at the same time.”

Gala Sponsorships begin at $500 per person and include event recognition and valet parking. Individual tickets are $300 per person before December 31st. Tickets purchased in 2015 will be $360 each.
