4 meetings for those who need grants for college

SAN DIEGO (Press Release)–State Sen. Marty Block (D-San Diego) has announced four meetings around his 39th State Senate District for high school students and their parents who would like to apply for Cal Grants for college.  These cash grants do not have to be paid back.

Following are the meetings. You need go to only one.

January 29, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Diego Hills Charter School
4585 College Avenue, San Diego, CA 92115

January 31, 9am-12pm
San Diego High School
1405 Park Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92101

February 7, 9am-12pm
Serra High School
5156 Santo Road, San Diego, CA 92124

February 28, 9am-12pm
Mission Bay High School
2475 Grand Avenue, San Diego, CA 92109

Senator Block recommends that the following items be brought to the meeting.

• Student’s Social Security Number & Driver’s License
• Parent’s federal tax return from 2014 (or 2013)
• Student’s W-2 forms, income records from 2014 (or 2013)
• If not a US citizen, bring alien registration card(s)
• Your PIN number(s) for FAFSA-Apply for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov
• Parent’s Social Security Number
• Bank account records, investments and business records
• List of colleges of interest
