Local shuls will celebrate Hadassah Shabbat

PrintSAN DIEGO (Press Release)–Hadassah was founded in New York on Purim, 103 years ago, and is Queen Esther’s Hebrew name. It is a tradition to celebrate Hadassah Shabbat across the country around the time of Purim, to share the wonderful work of Hadassah with our community.

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. In the United States, Hadassah advocates for issues such as gender equity in medical research and affordable child-care. Hadassah members make a personal  impact in the local, national and global community.
