Fundraiser April 18 for Israeli children’s music therapy

adopt a Family FoundationSAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Adopt a Family Foundation will host its annual fundraiser from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, April 18 at Green Acre, 10300 Campus Point Drive, San Diego.  Music is the theme of the evening: Am Echad, Shir Echad – One People, One Song.

The significance of the theme is to promote healing through music for Adopt a Family Foundation’s victims of terror and to strengthen bonds and harmony for all.

A portion of the proceeds of the evening will sponsor music therapy for the children of Sderot who have been affected by PTSD.

Sheryl Goodman and Doris Elihu are this year’s co-chairs. Dan Cohen, morning anchor of KFMB-TV, San Diego will emcee. The event will feature Laura Bialis, an Award –winning Film Director, a dinner, a silent auction and a musical performance by the widely acclaimed Todo Mundo. (All the World)

Bialis will introduce her new documentary Rock in the Red Zone which is a tale of music and romance on the frontiers of a never- ending war.

Toda Mundo was nominated “Best World Music” band at the 2012, 2013 and 2014 San Diego Music Awards. Their genre blends the musical flavors of Middle Eastern music, Spanish Rumba, Reggae, and Samba. The power of their music is used to transmit their messages of equality and diversity.
