$5,000 reward offered in Mira Mesa swastika case

ADL logoSAN DIEGO (Press Release) –The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today strongly condemned the anti-Semitic vandalism that targeted a Jewish home in the residential neighborhood of Mira Mesa on Sunday April, 5, 2015.

ADL and Jewish Federation of San Diego County are offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.

“We are outraged and dismayed by this anti-Semitic incident,” said Tammy Gillies, ADL San Diego Regional Director. “These incidents are not just targeting one family, but they are aimed at intimidating and frightening an entire community. We must send a message that this behavior is unacceptable and will be prosecuted.”

According to ADL’s annual Audit of Anti-Semitic Incidents, in 2014 New York and California topped the list of states with the highest totals of anti-Semitic incidents.
