ENCINITAS, California  (Press Release)– Seacrest Village Retirement Communities hosted The 211 Club Annual Patron Recognition Party this past Sunday, July 12 at Pamplemousse Grille in Solana Beach. Over 130 dedicated patrons gathered to celebrate their commitment to the charitable mission of Seacrest Village.

Before dinner, guests enjoyed cocktails, tray-passed hors d’oeuvres such as Truffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Korean Glazed Sesame Chicken, Wonton Chips with Ahi Tartare & Wasabi Caviar, and more.  Robin Israel, Vice President of Philanthropy for Seacrest Village, and Pamplemousse Grille Owner/Executive Chef Jeffrey Strauss, welcomed the guests and thanked them for their support of the Resident Assistance Fund.

Pam Ferris, President/CEO and Len Gregory, Chair of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities’ Board of Trustees, also thanked everyone and gave a brief status update of Seacrest Village and Seacrest at Home. Supporters such as Ellen & Ernest Addleson, Sandy & Earl Altshuler, Linda & Michael Bennett, Cindy & Larry Bloch, Ellen & Ingram Chodorow, Stephen Cohen & Adele Rabin, Toby & Howard Cohen, Melvin Cohn, Pearl Cutler & Raymond Mason, Norma & Werner Dreifuss, Mary & Jon Epsten, Alberta Feurzeig & Harold Laz, Esther Fischer, Carol Fox, Lee & Frank Goldberg, Merrill & Robert Haimsohn, Joan & Irwin Jacobs, Susan & David Kabakoff, Renee Levine, Shirley Pidgeon, Teddie Lewis Pincus, Josef Seller, William Snyder & Loretta Adams, Susie & Bernie Sosna, Ruth Strauss, Rusti Bartell, Bebe & Marvin Zigman, and many more enjoyed a gourmet dinner by Chef Jeffrey Strauss, owner and executive chef of the acclaimed Pamplemousse Grille.

First course included a melon salad with crispy goat cheese, mache, toasted pine nuts and baby arugula, dressed with aged balsamic vinegar. Second course featured a duo of Colorado rack of lamb & confit of duck with mélange of market vegetables, or basil roasted sea bass with asparagus polenta cake and roasted tri-colored carrots and sauce antiboise. A Meyer lemon tart with coconut meringue & mixed berry compote was served for dessert.

This was the 16th annual 211 Club celebration. Many in attendance have been a part of this dedicated group for all or most of the previous fifteen years. And each year new ones join, as they too have a commitment and concern for the elderly who have no one or nowhere to turn to for help.  100% of the funds raised through the Resident Assistance Fund go directly to meet the housing and care needs of residents of Seacrest Village.
