SAN DIEGO — Below is a list of 235 individuals whose bylines graced the pages of the expanded San Diego Jewish World (SDJW) during the month of June. Most of these writers work for other publications that have graciously made their news reports available through the RepubHub exchange by which news media, including SDJW, allow their stories to be republished on a reciprocal basis.
Although on a much larger scale, this is a similar arrangement to a local agreement in which SDJW participates as a member of the San Diego Online News Association (SDONA).
By joining RepubHub, SDJW was able to approximately triple its average daily offerings of news from around the world. We have chosen not only to offer specifically Jewish news, but also to report thoroughly on both U.S. and International Affairs, as exemplified by our extensive and ongoing coverage of the U.S. presidential campaign and Britian’s decision to exit the European Union (EU.)
We would like to know our readers’ reactions to this expanded coverage. Do you like the far broader selection of stories or would you prefer that SDJW concentrate exclusively on stories directly impacting upon the Jewish community?
We assure our readers that no matter how much our coverage expands, we will always be a home for stories directly affecting the Jewish community. The question really is how do you feel about those Jewish stories being nested in a package including other kinds of news?
While we are at it, are there any suggestions you have for SDJW’s improvement? How can we make your experience ever more relevant for you?
