Ontario’s parliament overwhelmingly rejects BDS

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario on Thursday passed by a vote of 49-5 a historic motion affirming the Ontario Legislature”s rejection of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.   1. Only half the MPPs of the Ontario legislature voted. So although the pro and con was markedly different, the matter could be seen as unpalatable for more than half the members. Should Israel persist in it’s course toward an apartheid state of one nation with a large population of non-citizens, or try to remove he Arab population by force, the vote could change markedly.

    Whoever was driving this motion should send back the message that this isn’t necessarily a victory in a war that is far from over or won.
