Forum on refugees at Temple Emanu-El March 8

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) –A forum on President Trump’s policies toward refugees will be conducted from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, at Temple Emanu-El, 6299 Capri Drive.

Titled “We Were Refugees Too: Educate for Action,” the forum will include such speakers as Mark Hetfield, the national chief executive officer of HIAS (formerly known as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society); Jewish Family Service CEO Michael Hopkins; Anti-Defamation League Regional Director Tammy Gillies; Charlene Seidle of the Leichtag Foundation; Rick Barton of the Procopio law firm; and Ginger Jacobs of Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP.

The program will be moderated by host Rabbi Devorah Marcus.

Following the panel, attendees may visit exhibits telling about volunteer opportunities, ways to contact members of Congress, and pother actions that may be taken in support of refuges.
