Golf, tennis, spa, auction July 24 for Seacrest Village

ENCINITAS, California (Press Release)– Seacrest Foundation will host the 26th Annual Guardians of San Diego Golf & Tennis Tournament “Take a Swing for Seniors” with presenting sponsor The William Gumpert Foundation on Monday, July 24th at the Del Mar Country Club and Devin Chodorow serving as Chair.

This year’s event will also feature a Spa Day Option happening simultaneously five minutes away at Rancho Valencia Spa.  Spa Day participants will relax and pamper themselves for the entire day, enjoying spa lunch, and their choice of treatments inclusive of purifying facials, soothing massages, invigorating body scrubs, luxurious pedicures, and more.

They will reconvene in the evening with the golfers and tennis players at Del Mar Country Club for a cocktail reception, silent auction, and gourmet awards dinner.  The annual tournament raises funds to support the provision of charitable care for residents of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities. Over 150 participants are expected to attend and celebrate the many residents and families whose lives have been touched as a result of the care and services they receive.

Guardians of San Diego is a dedicated volunteer group founded in 1945 for the sole purpose of supporting Seacrest Foundation in raising funds for Seacrest Village Retirement Communities. More than 60 years later, Guardians continues to make life better for the frail and elderly who reside at the Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo campuses. Being involved with the Guardians’ annual tournament has proven to be a rewarding, as well as fun, experience for many family members and supporters of San Diego’s seniors.

Golf and tennis registration fees include BBQ buffet lunch, green or tennis court fees, snacks and beverages, access to the resort facilities, all contests including longest drive, closest to the pin, straightest drive and a hole-in-one contest, post-tournament cocktail reception and a special commemorative gift.

The evening reception will include a raffle drawing with multiple winners with the first prize being $1,000 cash. The event will feature a 100-bottle “Wine Pull”. For $25 an attendee can “pull” a mystery bottle of red or white wine during before or after tournament play (all bottles will be worth at least $25 and some are worth over $200 – everyone wins)!

The silent auction will include items such as golf packages, date nights, staycations, family trips and beauty packages for men and women. Individual tickets for golfers are $425 “early bird,” $525 after June 10 and tennis players are $225 each or $400 per tennis couple.
