Bryan Pepper

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) – The Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego (JCF) recently named Bryan Pepper as its Vice President of Philanthropy and Social Impact.

In this newly established position, Bryan will engage existing donors to ensure that they realize their philanthropic and social investment goals. Bryan will also spearhead efforts to initiate and grow relationships with new donors, including developing and launching a unique suite of offerings to attract novice philanthropists and social investors.

JCF President and CEO, Beth Sirull, said, “At JCF, we believe in the power of every individual to make a difference and that collectively we can change the world. Our job is to help our clients make the difference that matters to them, even as we guide donors to addressing our community’s most pressing needs. Bryan has exceptional talent for building trusting relationships, understanding clients’ dreams and goals, and guiding donors to achieving their desired impact. These skills make him the perfect person to assume this position. We’re thrilled that Bryan decided to return to San Diego and join us.”

In joining JCF, Bryan is combining his commitment to Jewish life with the skills and experience he gained during his successful career as a wealth advisor, including guiding clients on philanthropic paths to fulfilling their personal vision for social change and impact. Most recently, Bryan was a wealth manager at Mariner Wealth Advisors in Kansas City.

Prior to moving to Kansas City, Bryan spent 25 years in Southern California. A graduate of UCSD, Bryan lived in San Diego for several years after graduation and was a founding member of 20Something – a Jewish Social Network. Following his time in San Diego, Bryan lived and worked in Orange County, where he was active in the Jewish community. Bryan served on the Investment Steering Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County as well as the Board of Directors of Jewish Federation and Family Services, the Hillel Foundation, and the Merage Jewish Community Center.

“I’m thrilled to be joining JCF. For me, there is nothing better than working for an organization whose purpose is to help people help people,” Mr. Pepper said. “As the Vice President of Philanthropy and Social Impact, I’m working with individual donors and families to help them articulate what is most important to them, educating them on how they can turn those values into concrete actions to achieve their dreams and then working together to make it happen.”
