RANCHO SANTA FE, California — Seventy one people gathered at the home of Dr. Bob Shillman on Tuesday night for the debut of “Israel Inside” ahead of its
nationwide premiere next week. Produced by Rabbi Raphael Shore and Rabbi Richard Green the film was made in conjunction with Jerusalem Online University. Shore is the founder of Jerusalem Online and is also the
producer of two other films, Iranium and Obsession.

Israel Inside’s focus is the enormous achievements and impact that Israel has had in the fields of technology, specifically agriculture,
software, and medicine. Emphasizing the most positive aspects of Israel’s society, the film also delved into family life and the feeling of many Israelis
that living in Israel is like being part of a large extended family. Shore said at the event that “my goal was to make a positive film about Israel.”

Also discussed at the event was Jerusalem Online’s new program, launched the day before, called “Step up for Israel.”  The program is a nationwide grassroots campaign that will educate people about anti-Israel activity occurring on college campuses. The program will be coming to San Diego later this year in a joint effort with StandWithUs, a national Israel advocacy organization directed in San Diego by Audrey Jacobs. Jacobs also attended Tuesday’s film debut.

The audience included several prominent members of the community including Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, who is running for mayor of San Diego, and San
Diego City Councilwoman Lorie Zapf.
