ENCINITAS, California (Press Release)–The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities is holding its 34th Annual Gala, “Magical Moments” on Saturday, February 11, at the Estancia La Jolla. Gala Chairs Cindy and Larry Bloch are working with a committee to honor the commitment and dedication of Lisa and Gary Levine to Seacrest Village while also raising funds for the residents of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities.
In addition to a special presentation honoring the Levines, guests may look forward to a gourmet meal, live music, dancing, elaborate desserts and a magic show produced by Tony Caligagan, owner of Event Entertainment.
The show is headlined by Murray the Magician who was a semi-finalist on NBC-TV’s “America’s Got Talent.” Murray produced a Ferrari from thin air, transformed a girl locked in a cage into a 450 pound tiger and made an entire 1918 steam train locomotive vanish in mere seconds. All of these illusions took place before a live and national TV audience and brought standing ovations from judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne and Howie Mandel.
Murray currently guest stars on the hit History Channel TV series Pawn Stars as a magic expert, and hosts the live Pawn Stars shows in venues throughout the country
Magical Moments will also feature Stoil and Ekaterina, husband and wife team who combine magic and the very popular art of “Quick Change”. Stoil is trained as a magician while Ekaterina trained as a ballerina. They have settled in the United States and now work everywhere from Las Vegas casinos to major theatrical venues around the globe. Don’t look away; you might miss one of the many instant changes that most people find hard to believe.
Following the magical entertainment, guests will be invited to dance the night away to the sounds of Society Beat San Diego while enjoying custom coffee drinks from Java Jive and a candy bar catered by Life Is Sweet – all while supporting the residents of Seacrest Village.
Each year Seacrest Village Retirement Communities serves almost four hundred seniors between the Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo campuses. For over sixty-six years, the Women’s Auxiliary has aided Seacrest Village in its ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of care in a warm and dignified environment for older adults in our community, regardless of their ability to pay. All proceeds from the event will be directed towards the Resident Assistance Fund at Seacrest Village to help raise the approximately $1.5 million needed in charitable care each year.
