SAN DIEGO (Press Release)– Tom Seidler will be the featured speaker at the February 19, Men’s Club of Beth Israel Dinner Forum. Seidler hails from “baseball royalty.” He is a grandson of Walter O’Malley and a member of the third generation of the O’Malley family that took over ownership of the San Diego Padres in 2012.
Seidler will discuss his family’s vision and future plans for our local major league baseball team. He and his family have pledged to turn the Padres into consistent winners while following the O’Malley traits of hard work; first-class treatment of employees, players and fans; commitment to the community; and keeping as low a profile as possible.
With a strong baseball pedigree Seidler has been involved with baseball for over twenty years since graduating from college. Currently he is also President of the Visalia Rawhide, a Single-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Prior to that Seidler was President of the Stockton Ports and General Manager of the Great Falls Dodgers. He has stated many times how fortunate he has been to go to work at a ballpark most of his life and that he has enjoyed and loved every minute of it.
Seidler received a BA degree from the University of Notre Dame and attended Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management where he received his MBA.
Dinner Forums are open to the entire San Diego community, both men and women. The fee: $14 with an RSVP, $17 without an RSVP, includes a deli dinner. RSVPs are sought to in planning the event using this secure link or by contacting Judi Schwartz at 858 900-2598.
