JERUSALEM (Press Release) — The President of the State of Israel, Shimon Peres, spoke to the newly elected President of Egypt, Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, Saturday and congratulated him on his election.
President Peres stressed Israel’s commitment to maintain the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt and strengthening the cooperation between the countries.
President Peres wished the Egyptian people prosperity and success and expressed his hope that President Sisi will lead Egypt to great achievements.
At the end of the conversation, President Sisi thanked President Peres for his warm words.
