Beth Israel Men to host SDIJFF movie previews Jan. 16

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Beth Israel Men’s Club will host a buffet and night of previews beginning at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, for the upcoming 29th annual San Diego International Jewish Film Festival.

Linda Levine, Outreach Chair of the Festival will be presenting information on the films this year along with a member of the Film Selection Committee. There will be trailers shown of a number of the films scheduled during the festival, which is in February of 2019.

The Center for Jewish Culture which sponsors the Festival hopes to raise awareness about diversity within the Jewish community as well as appreciation and pride for what that community has accomplished. They promise world class entertainment that captures what it means to be Jewish in the modern world through modern and historical lenses.

This year the festival will be at four venues, with 65 films from 17 countries screened.

This program is open to the entire San Diego community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club Membership is not a requirement to attend.  Congregation Beth Israel is located at 9001 Towne Centre Drive in San Diego.

Cost of the program is $18 for those who RSVP, and $20 who do not reserve in advance. One may RSVP via the Internet by clicking here.
