Historian Joellyn Zollman to Address Beth Israel Dec. 22

SAN DIEGO  (Press Release)– Jewish historian Joellyn Zollman will discuss “Editing American Jewish History–Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Stories,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Congregation Beth Israel, 9001 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego.

Zollman emphasized American Jewish history and religious material culture while earning her doctorate from Brandeis University.  She has been involved with exhibits and collections at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., the Skirball Museum in Los Angeles, and the San Diego History Center.  A teacher for the last two decades, she currently works as an educator for the Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.
