NEW YORK — This year, our Global Conference for Israel was unlike any other. We refuse to see the world through a lens of anger. We always stay focused on tomorrow. For two years, our world has seen tears of fear, pain, and grief. Yet, at this year’s conference, surrounded by thousands of passionate supporters, partners, students, and friends, the only tears that filled our eyes were those of hope.
When you walk into a Jewish National Fund-USA conference, there are no handshakes—only hugs.
Together, we declared a ‘reset moment’ for our Zionist movement—one of collaboration, unity, and shared purpose. October 7 was a wake-up call for all of us—a moment that must never be wasted.
Our announcement during the conference of a project between Jewish National Fund-USA and Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael—two great organizations—to co-fund an initiative marks a powerful commitment to develop Israel’s South. We have a new 40,000-square-foot regional community center launching in the Eshkol Region—a testament to the efforts of Jewish National Fund-USA Ambassador to KKL, Nina Paul.
Over 40% of the attendees at our conference, which had a staggering 3,000 participants, were under the age of 40. This demographic isn’t just our future; they are our present leaders. From college students to our JNFutures (22-40 year olds), these passionate young individuals represent millions in contributions to our organization. This is the fastest-growing segment of our donor base and a key driver of our vision to reach One Million Voices for Israel.
These young leaders are not only advocating for Israel today, they are shaping its narrative for tomorrow. They are deeply involved, continuously evolving, and making significant things happen. Their voices are powerful and indispensable, driving the design and innovation that we see today.
They didn’t come to be passive listeners; they came to challenge, engage, and envision the future of Zionism. Watching them guide conversations about advocacy, identity, and innovation reminded us that the Zionist dream is not merely alive — it’s evolving, growing, and being redefined by the young voices shaping tomorrow.
Jewish National Fund-USA is deeply committed to ensuring that authentic stories of the land and people of Israel reach audiences worldwide. Our involvement in the film and television industry through Red Alert, a Paramount+ limited series, which was filmed in the South of Israel, generated nearly half a million dollars in income for the region through hotel bookings, local hiring, and food services.
Produced by Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Volume 2), Red Alert portrayed the events of October 7, bringing these powerful narratives to a broader audience. This project was not just about storytelling; it was about supporting the local economy and providing a platform for real stories that resonate worldwide.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue this journey with our Israel Entertainment Fund. This initiative aims to raise funds to hire young producers, directors, and other creatives from Israel’s North and South, and from institutions such as Sapir College. Our goal is to continue showcasing the real stories of Israel, told by the very people who live them. This will ensure that the authentic voices and experiences of Israelis are shared globally, fostering a deeper understanding and connection. Israel makes the world a better place – spread the word!
At our Global Conference for Israel, I listened to countless passionate discussions about our Zionist movement’s future. Through each conversation, I couldn’t help but think of our planned $350 million 16-acre World Zionist Village in Be’er Sheva. What we experienced at the conference—this meeting of Zionist minds, hearts, and dreams—was just a preview of what’s to come.
The Village will be a global hub for Zionist education, dialogue, and discovery. In this place, Jews and their allies from around the world come to learn, to lead, and to strengthen their connection to Israel and to one another.
Just as with everything we do, this initiative will spark powerful circles of impact and ripple effects across the region. The Village will generate thousands of new jobs, invigorate surrounding small businesses, and accelerate economic growth throughout Israel’s South. Most importantly, it will propel us toward our ambitious goal of attracting 500,000 new residents to this thriving region. Together, we’re shaping a vibrant future full of promise and opportunity.

One of the most moving stories we heard at our Global Conference for Israel was from the Shem Tov family. Omer Shem Tov, who had been held hostage by Hamas for 505 days, explained the harrowing conditions and sadistic methodologies used by the terrorist group. Yet, he also shared how being there with the other hostages, all of whom came from different backgrounds—religious, secular, right-wing, left-wing, and everything in between—made him realize a profound truth: they were 95% the same. Their shared love for Israel and their courage in the face of adversity brought them together in ways they never imagined possible.
From inspiring keynote speakers and powerful panels to moving tributes and unforgettable performances, the 2025 Global Conference for Israel showed the world that Jewish National Fund-USA is more than an organization—it’s a family and a movement. And families, when united, will do extraordinary things. Join us! Be a part of a task force, explore our professional affinity groups (Finance for Israel, Healthcare For Israel, Lawyers for Israel, Real Estate Division), Rabbis for Israel, JNFuture, Women for Israel, and our Donor Societies.
As we move forward, let us remember that our mission is not yet finished. We are the builders of Israel’s future. We are the dreamers who act, the believers who do. Together, we’re writing the next chapter of our nation.
