Anti-Defamation League San Diego honored the 2025-2026 No Place for Hate Student and Coordinator of the Year at the Carlsbad Unified School District meeting.
Fourth-grade teacher Ms. Phillips was recognized for her unwavering dedication to the No Place for Hate program, and her student, Maverick Carroll, for carrying its values beyond the classroom, including co-founding a youth nonprofit called Boomerang alongside his younger sister.
