SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — After a several-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Temple Emanu-El’s Sisterhood has announced the return of its long-running Artisan Festival on Sunday, November 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is held at the temple at 6299 Capri Drive, San Diego 92120.
The Artisan Festival is a free community-wide event that is open to the public. The event provides an opportunity to purchase fine handcrafted work from several dozen local artisans. The work is as diverse as the artisans themselves and includes metals, fused glass, ceramic, wood, fiber, paper, beadwork etc. This year the festival will offer books from local authors as well.
In addition to the works displayed, there are opportunity drawings for artwork, gift cards, and specialized services such as facials, massages, master gardening advice and more. The Artisan Festival is a great place to get a jump start on holiday shopping.
Proceeds from the Artisan Festival support college scholarship funds for members of our community. The Sisterhood, the event’s sponsors, are a group of women dedicated to doing mitzvot (good deeds) and enhancing friendships.
