  1. Although I am no fan of ICE, it’s so frustrating (but not at all surprising) to see how Sara Jacobs frames her narrative: an innocent woman, following her constitutional rights and moral imperatives, is gunned down in cold blood – just for filming ICE agents. Doesn’t matter that she later advises “you have a First Amendment right to film or photograph law enforcement activities in a public space, so long as you’re not INTERFERING or OBSTRUCTING (caps mine for emphasis). This woman was doing both! Although I don’t feel she intentionally planned on ramming an ICE agent that day, her car effectively became a potentially lethal weapon, and it’s only luck that the agent wasn’t more seriously injured. I also don’t believe he started that day thinking he can’t wait to shoot a protester. There is just no longer room for any nuanced discussions, and it’s so predictable that Sara Jacobs always stick to strict Progressive party lines in any and all circumstances – including her views on Israel/Palestine.
