Chaim Landau, Peace of Mind Director of Partnerships, visiting San Diego to express gratitude to the San Diego Community for its support of IDF soldiers recovering from trauma.

February 7, 2026
Peace of Mind San Diego Chapter

By Michelle Lyons in San Diego, California

PRESS RELEASE: Peace of Mind (POM) San Diego Chapter welcomes Chaim Landau, Director of Partnerships, on Monday, February 16, 2026.  Mr. Landau is in San Diego to express gratitude to our community for hosting IDF veterans as part of their therapy program and to share with us their new innovative models for reshaping health care for IDF veterans.
About Peace of Mind:  Peace of Mind (POM) is a registered 501c3 to support the Metiv Israel Psychotrauma Center for IDF veterans. POM provides time and space for IDF combat veterans to process their combat experiences in a supportive environment with specially trained therapists, culminating in a week spent in a Jewish community abroad. San Diego is proud to have hosted 6 POM units in individual homes, providing a rewarding week for host families to give back to our veterans and a healing week for the veterans receiving therapy as a unit in a supportive, safe environment.
The transition to civilian life is never simple.  Most IDF veterans do not suffer from PTSD, but over 80% of POM participants experience mild to severe traumatic symptoms. Run by Metiv Israel Psychotrauma Center in Jerusalem, POM strengthens the emotional and mental well-being of IDF veterans. allowing for a healthier transition from military to civilian life.
The press is encouraged to attend on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 7 pm to learn more about Peace of Mind, how they help IDF veterans, and how you can help us help them. For location information, please contact Michelle Lyons at (858)229-7105.
