Anti-Israel screed published in California’s voter pamphlet

LOS ANGELES (Press Release) — The California Secretary of State’s (SOS) office published an antisemitic statement by a candidate for Governor in California’s official Voter Information Guide for the June 2, 2026 primary election. This statement violates the SOS’s guidelines and must be removed.  Click HERE to call and email state officials, urging them to take immediate action.

You can find additional information HERE and below.

Additional Background:
California’s candidate statement guidelines (page may be down) are clear: statements must be limited to a candidate’s personal background and qualifications. The statement published by Don J. Grundmann does not meet that standard. Instead, it promotes hateful rhetoric and conspiracy theories unrelated to his background or qualifications.

This hate has no place in a state-issued voter guide that is relied on by millions of Californians. We are calling on state officials to:

  • Enforce their own election guidelines
  • Take corrective action
  • Ensure compliance with state standards going forward
