Matt Brooks, the CEO of the Republican Jewish Coalition, congratulated two winners in Florida’s GOP primary elections on Tuesday.
Randy Fine, the only Jewish Republican in Florida’s congressional delegation, defeated Dan Bilzerian, who made antisemitism the cornerstone of his Holocaust-denying political campaign, and labeled Fine as a “fat Jew.” He also released a video depicting Fine with devil horns and clutching a bag of money.
Said Brooks: “This is Nazi propaganda, aimed at a Jewish American Member of Congress. It is vile, it is dangerous, and it earned the forceful, bipartisan condemnation it deserved.”
Brooks also congratulated Congressman Byron Donalds on his victory in the Republican primary to become Florida’s next governor. His opponent, James Fishback, said Donalds, who is African-American, would turn the state into a “Section 8 ghetto.”
