Could the fact that countries hostile to Israel have been donating billions of dollars to American universities be behind some universities not adequately investigating reports of antisemitism on their campuses?
The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law on Friday filed a friend-of-the-court brief in a Washington D,C. court case pitting the Association of American Universities (AAU), which doesn’t want the names of the funders disclosed, against the U.S. Department of Education which does.
Release of the information has been delayed six times over three months and when the DOE announced that October 2 would be the date, the AAU sued. The Brandeis Center is now stepping into the legal battle to fight for the public’s right to know who is funding American universities.
