JERUSALEM (Press Release) — On November 3 – two weeks from now – Americans will vote in elections that will decide control of the U.S. Congress and the balance of power in Washington. Republicans Overseas Israel is conducting a voter mobilization campaign for the more than 500,000 American citizens living in Israel who are eligible to vote.
The campaign includes advertising on television and social media, volunteers active across the country, a dedicated voter assistance service reachable via WhatsApp and email, and a free ballot mailing service, under which the organization is sending a representative from its Israel-based headquarters to the United States to hand-deliver voters’ ballots in the United States. As part of the effort, Republicans Overseas Israel is also coordinating with the U.S. Embassy in Israel to make voting information more accessible to American citizens in the country.
The Republican majority in the House is narrow, and several races around the country are especially close: the New York governor’s race between Kathy Hochul and Bruce Blakeman, the Florida Senate race between Ashley Moody and Angie Nixon, where recent polling shows a tight margin, and the battle for New York’s 17th Congressional District, where Republican Congressman Mike Lawler is running for reelection. In races this close, the organization says, votes cast from Israel can make the difference.
“Our votes here in Israel can decide who controls Congress,” said Marc Zell, Chairman of Republicans Overseas Israel and Vice President and General Counsel of Republicans Overseas Inc. “We have just over two weeks left, and some of these races could come down to a few hundred votes. Every American citizen living in Israel needs to know that their vote matters, and that we’re here to help them cast it.”
Ariel Sander, Campaign Manager of Republicans Overseas Israel, said: “Now, more than ever, after two years of working shoulder to shoulder with the Trump administration in an effort shared by the United States and Israel, this is the time to show our gratitude – to go out, register and vote ahead of the elections on November 3. These are elections critical to the United States, no less than the elections in Israel. Two more years of this partnership between the United States and Israel would be enormously significant for us. We cannot afford to stay home – these are the final moments. Go out, vote, and make a difference.”
