SAN DIEGO (SDJW) — A U-T/10News poll shows District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis leading challengers Bob Brewer and Terry Wyatt respectively by a margin of 44-27-6 with a whopping 22 percent of the voters undecided. A story by Mark Walker quote Jay Leve, founder and editor of Survey USA, saying if the undecided voters split in the same percentages as those already decided, Dumanis may be able to avoid a runoff election en route to a fourth term. … In another U-T article, reporter Kristina Davis said Dumanis once attempted suicide in what Dumanis described as a delayed reaction to the death of her sister at a factory explosion. The article also said the D.A. once considered a career as a rabbi, and that her election as DA in 2002 was the first in the nation for an openly gay candidate.

Socialites Matthew and Iris Strauss recently hosted at their Rancho Santa Fe estate a party for patrons of the Old Globe Theatre, with the Globe’s artistic director Barry Edelstein and his wife Hilit Edelstein among the guests. The affair was reported and photographed by the U-T’s Vincent Andrunas.

  1. Bonnie Dumanis is one of the FIRST DA’s in California to successfully have her office PROSECUTE caregivers who ABUSED a vulnerable autistic person in their care. Anyone with an autistic child, teen or adult child or any child with special needs, should be VOTING for Bonnie Dumanis. Do you know how many other compromised weak pathetic puke politicians and government officials have IGNORED abuse of disabled people? NOT Bonnie. She stood up for the autism community. VOTE for Bonnie Dumanis. She cares for those who can’t speak up for themselves.
