DEL MAR, California (Press Release) — Art pieces made from the fragments of rockets and mortar shells will be exhibited by Israeli artist Yaron Bob, from the Eshkol region near Gaza, at a reception Sunday afternoon from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Erik Skoldberg Gallery in Del Mar Plaza, 1555 Camino Del Mar, Suite 310.
The reception is being sponsored by the Adopt a Family Foundation, which provides moral and financial assistance to Israeli families who have been victimized by terrorism. Kosher style refreshments will be catered by Il Fornaio.
Bob, who calls his exhibit “Beauty out of Horror,” will discuss the recent war between Israel and Gaza and its after effects.
Proceeds from the sale of works by the Israeli artist, as well as of an art piece donated by Erik Skoldberg, will be used to rebuild a destroyed children’s playground in Mefalsim, a kibbutz in San Diego’s Sha’ar Hanegev partnership region, bordering Gaza.
