In the past, for the most part, Immigrants to this country were fleeing religious persecution and were looking for a better life. The last thing on their minds was the religious persecution of others. They came to this country and more or less assimilated, and accepted the diversity they found in this country. That is no longer totally true. Many come to this country for whatever reason, and have no intention of assimilating nor accepting others of different beliefs. Perhaps, most of those coming in from Muslim countries, suffering civil wars, only want a better life and are willing to accept those already here for what they are. However mixed in with them are those who want to destroy us, and we have no way to determine which among them fall in this category. NO ONE claims, despite what this writer alludes, that they are all here to destroy us. However, until we can properly vet them, to weed out the terrorists, those who do want to destroy us, we must stop their immigration. Moreover, I do note that most of this group seem to have no intention of assimilating.
