LA JOLLA, California — San Diego Jewish World’s editor, Don Harrison, was so impressed by poet, Adam Greenfield, whom he encountered at Comic Con, that Harrison not only printed two of Greenfield’s poems in an online piece about the convention, but he recommended Greenfield to our Jewish Poets—Jewish Voices Committee to be a featured poet in our series.

On Tuesday, December 17, 7 p.m., in the Astor Judaica Library of the Lawrence Family JCC, Adam Greenfield will be one of three featured poets reading his works.

He will be joined by poets Anna Abraham Gasaway and Lucy Lehman.

Adam Greenfield is a professional podcast producer and published poet. His 2017 book, Regarding the Monkey, received critical acclaim.

Anna Abraham Gasaway, a graduate of Holyoke College, is currently studying poetry in the Master of Fine Arts Program at San Diego State University. Her poetry has been published in the San Diego Reader, Last Exit, Toyon, Mesa Visions and Cityworks.

Lucy Lehman, a graduate of Wellesley College, has had her poetry published in the San Diego Poetry Annual.

Following the hour of readings by the three featured poets, there will be a half hour of open mic. The evening will conclude with a reception, at which time the audience can meet the poets and chat over light refreshments.

The Jewish Poets—Jewish Voices events are free and open to the public. RSVP is requested via this website.
