I was never a yeshiva bocher, so I don’t know what Talmud says about demons. However, I am an avid reader of folklore, and Jewish folklore, both Ashkenazi and Mizrahi, are filled with tales of angels, demons, goblins, faeries, djinnis, ghosts and dopplegängers. These tales excite the imagination and encourage us to dream. Would we really have it any other way?
