LA MESA, California – RUTH: Remember Us The Holocaust’s Speaker Series presents author Jennifer Coburn at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, at the La Jolla Riford Library. USA Today Best-Selling Del Cerro author will discuss her latest historical book, The Girls of the Glimmer Factory. Coburn’s novel is a poignant and inspiring tale of resistance, friendship, and the dangers of propaganda, based on the real story of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Click here for more information.
I attended an author talk with Coburn, and she discussed her travels in researching the camp and building her novel. She had a slideshow of her photos from her trip, along with the many stories and people she met. Of course, I bought the book and Coburn signed it. It is on my list of books to read.
