SAN DIEGO (Press Release) –Kindness isn’t just what we do, it’s who we become, together.
San Diego Gives is just weeks away, and we need you to help us reach our most ambitious goal yet—supporting over 15,000 Jews right here in San Diego who are facing poverty, homelessness, and urgent crises. It’s a hard reality, but that’s precisely why Kindness Initiative exists.
Your impact speaks volumes: Last year, your incredible generosity raised over $17,000, transforming lives across our Jewish community. Since October 7th, the landscape has changed dramatically—Israeli families have arrived seeking safety and support, while more local Jewish families have found the courage to ask for help during these challenging times. We refuse to let anyone fall through the cracks on our watch.
Right now, your donation could be the lifeline for:
–A Jewish single mother who had to share one toothbrush among her three children—until our kindessG’MACH warehouse supplied her with everything she needs and more
–An Israeli refugee who fled to San Diego for a new start and came to Kindness for immediate support to find furniture, clothing, home essentials and a job
–An elderly community member facing eviction because they couldn’t cover rent on a fixed income—now remains in their home with dignity with our homelessness prevention program with financial assistance
–A Jewish student who lost her job and was days away from losing her housing and education and is now receiving case management support and enrolled with an Angel from our Volunteer program
–A single mother sitting in darkness with her children sleeping on the floor—no electricity, no mattresses, no hope – is now safe and secure from Kindness’s Standard of Care commitment to our Jewish community
This is our moment to act.Every dollar you give multiplies into meals, shelter, dignity, and hope. These aren’t just numbers—these are our family members, our fellow Jews, our San Diego community.
Join us. Support the Kindness Initiative today and help us build what every Jewish community needs: a place where we are the first call for help & support and the only Jewish kindessG’MACH warehouse, where our personalized, immediate hands-on team changes everything. Together, we’re ensuring that in San Diego, no Jewish family faces hardship alone.
Tikkun olam begins with each of us. It begins with you.
Join us on Tuesday, September 9th. Help us raise $50,000!
