The Meaning of the Shofar Blasts

LA MESA, California – Shofar, so good!

The sound of the shofar is like when a king is crowned, as it can sound like a trumpet blast. When we hear the shofar on Rosh Hashanah, it reminds us that G-d created the world, and He is our King. Additionally, when we hear the shofar on Rosh Hashanah, it reminds us to reflect on our past mistakes and return to G-d.

It is a reminder of G-d’s revelation at Sinai, and our destiny to be a people of the Torah, to pursue its study, and to practice its commandments.
