ANAHEIM, California — From November through January, California Adventures transforms into a full-blown celebration of the winter holidays. Not just Christmas, but Diwali, Chanukah, and Navidad as well. The Festival of Holidays brings live performances, specialty food booths, and seasonal drinks. Guests can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass to sample a variety of offerings or buy items à la carte.
While scanning the food menus, I spotted a dish called “Savory Kugel Mac and Cheese”—topped with seasoned breadcrumbs and drizzled with sour cream. I didn’t try it this time, but it definitely caught my eye. In past years, they’ve even had latkes.
Among the specialty beverages, a few bright blue “holiday punches” looked especially fun—perfect inspiration for a Chanukah gathering.
Inside Elias & Company, I found a small Chanukah section stocked with sweatshirts, mugs, and a cozy fleece throw. I searched for Chanukah-themed Mickey ears, but no luck this visit.
In the ornament displays, though, I discovered a lovely blue metal ornament with faux gems—something that would look beautiful on a “Chanukah bush” or even hanging from a doorknob, without giving off an overt Christmas vibe.
At the corner bakery, some cheerful vanilla cupcakes looked festive enough for any Chanukah table.
And as I wandered through the park, the speakers surprised me with a jazzy rendition of “Oh Chanukah,” which I happily sang along to.
