I am not surprised for Stan Caplan to complain. Politically, Caplain is the dangerous Trojan horse on his campaign page. Caplan a (former) REPUBLICAN from TEXAS who lives OUTSIDE CA-51 in Rancho Santa Fe (CA-49) and so positioned as a CARPETBAGGER. I know I certainly do not want a barely closeted, selfish Baby Boomer-mindset, Trump-loving Texan Republican representing me in CA-51. Jewish or not.

In Ryan Cooglers “Sinners” the folks inside could not be killed by the monstrous life-killing vampires outside the door. The killers had to be invited inside. While I am not pleased with Sara Jacobs, I clearly see Stan Caplan. I am not voting to let Stan Caplan into office so he can use our CA-51 power to support the warmongering, insanity, cruelty and trashy corruption of Donald Trump.

  2. As a Jewish American running for Congress in CA-51, I respect the JDCA’s mission and agree on the importance of combating antisemitism while supporting Israel’s right to exist and defend itself as a Jewish and democratic state.

However, I take strong exception to the highly partisan framing in your article. You state that “Trump’s blatant corruption and abuse of power… have created unprecedented threats to our democracy” and that “A Democratic win in 2026 is essential” because “the future of our democracy depends on Democrats winning back at least one chamber of Congress.”

This zero-sum approach — portraying one party as the sole protector of Jewish interests and democracy while painting the other as an existential threat — deepens the very divisions that prevent practical solutions in Congress.

I am running as a moderate Democrat because I believe the best path forward for Jewish Americans, the United States, and Israel is bipartisan unity, not continued partisan warfare.

On Israel, the contrast with my opponent Sara Jacobs is clear. She has:

Advocated conditioning and restricting offensive U.S. weapons to Israel
Supported efforts to block certain arms sales during wartime
Called for bilateral ceasefires while hostages remained in Hamas captivity
Co-sponsored legislation criticizing Israel’s conduct in Gaza
I believe America’s support for Israel’s right to self-defense must be strong, consistent, and unwavering — without political conditions during wartime.

Jewish Americans vote across all parties and for independents. None of us should be excluded or made to feel politically homeless. I am fighting for a Congress that puts Country, Family, and the Jewish People First — supporting a strong U.S.-Israel alliance while delivering practical results for all Americans.

This woman is a tragic propagandist for the most extreme illiberal elements of the left. It is the Trump administration specifically the civil rights and department of education that is fighting tirelessly against the most vile anti semites in elite universities. She’s says nothing about corruption in our state nor Minnesota. Her club is standing with the most extreme elements in Maine and NYC so I have to assume SDJewish world stands with her

I was hoping to read a new idea or policy in the article. There were none. Just decrying Trump and the Supreme Court as evil Is vacuous even specious without presenting any substance but hate.

The JDCA can make a start by acknowledging the reverse racism, reverse discrimination and reverse bigotry of extremist DEI is wrong.

Look for moderating common ground not the same
Failed and Failing party line rhetoric.
