(Melody: Happy Days Are Here Again)
By Laurie Baron in San Diego
Saner times have just begun
The Dems have MAGA on the run.
Extremists will brandish guns.
Saner times have just begun.
Trump did not heed advice
To restrain the thugs of ICE.
Or that tariffs raise the price.
Saner times have just begun.
Now we can block Trump’s plans.
Passing data center bans,
Defund the war in Iran.
Saner times have just begun.
Trump surely will veto laws
That don’t advance his pompous cause.
DC construction put on pause.
Saner times have just begun.
