LA MESA, California – May is known as mental health awareness month. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
It is okay to seek professional help if breathing and meditation exercises are not enough. Talking with friends and getting outside can change your mood and is good for your physical health as well.
With May Gray upon us, it can be hard to find positivity to focus on. I know when I see a shadow outside, I smile knowing the sun is trying its hardest to let us all know “he” is here and not going anywhere.

Congregation Beth Am is concerned over the proposed closure of the Northern Police Substation which directly serves the synagogue and broader Carmel Valley community. The officers stationed just 2.5 miles from the campus have helped create a safe and welcoming environment. Relocating those officers would significantly compromise response times and, more broadly, the sense of security. Click here to stay informed and for background on the proposed closure and updates.
