  1. My best guy friend who is Jewish like me saw this film on the weekend and hated it! We didn’t understand the hype and hated the antisemitic tropes the film showed. Although those might have been commonplace back in the period of the film, they were unnecessary and stuck out like a sore thumb. We felt like anyone who sees the film now would see those, hear those and sadly believe the antisemitic rhetoric that’s being spewed, believed and supported today. The Jewish aspect of the film could have been in the film when necessary but we didn’t see any of those depicted as necessary, or helpful to the plot. We see a lot of films and this we gave a thumbs down all around. Just because there are Jewish actors in it as well as Jewish writers, does not make a good film. We hated every aspect of this film

  2. What breathlessly original and buzz-energy writing! The NYT review didn’t make me want to see the movie, but this does. And I’m eager to see more of John E. Finley-Weaver’s writing.
