U.N. Resolution 2334 doesn’t even recognize the Kotel as belonging to Israel

LONDON, England — The recent UN resolution 2334 will go down in Jewish history as one of the seemingly interminable attempts to destroy the Jews. That the United States should be complicit in the establishment of the resolution, as many people think, is disgraceful.

Just as disgraceful is the fact that the United Kingdom voted in favour. Prime Minister Theresa May is forever saying how much she admires and protects the Jews, and likewise the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. It is a revelation that they are both agreeable to this travesty, and shows yet again that politicians words are meaningless.

Why should we be so concerned ? I suggest you read the actual text of Resolution 2334, to see how dangerous it is.

The Resolution states that the occupation is “ in violation of international humanitarian law”, and also states “ has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law”. These comments are a specific threat to bring Jewish leaders and indeed people living in Judea and Samaria, before international legal tribunals.

It states that “territory occupied since 1967, including “East Jerusalem, has no legal validity.” Also “it will not recognize any changes to the 4 June 1967 lines, including with regards to Jerusalem”. In other words, it wont even recognize that the Wailing Wall is to be in Jewish hands.

It calls upon Israel not merely to stop settlement building, but to dismantle those already in existence. It twice says they must “reverse the negative trends on the ground”. (ps, we know what happened when Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip !)

Very seriously, it “calls upon states.. to distinguish, in their relevant dealings, between the territory of the State of Israel and the territories occupied since 1967.” This effectively urges all states to boycott any Israeli entities connected with the territories. This is full on support for the Boycott movement.

The final few paragraphs then go on to threaten Israel with more consequences in the near future. It stresses the importance of “the initiative of France for the convening of an international peace conference.” This is an upcoming act of theatre to humiliate Israel, by a European country with a huge immigrant minority.

Resolution 2334 calls upon the UN Secretary General to report back every three months on progress, with the threat to “remain seized of the matter,” an ongoing threat.

At no stage does the Resolution demand anything concrete of the Palestinians.

With friends like Obama and May, who needs enemies?
