Jewish-interest license plate: HANNAHP

SAN DIEGO–The latest acquisition in Melanie Rubin’s collection of license plates with Jewish meaning is one that probably is named for a Hannah whose surname begins with a P.   However, we look to the biblical roots of Hannah’s first name, remembering that Hannah was the woman who told the priest Eli how unhappy she was being childless and that if she only had a child, she would dedicate his life to the service of God.    She subsequently did have a son, who became the prophet Samuel.

This license plate has been added to our online collection.  If your car has a Jewish license plate, or you spot one that does, please send us a photo of it  at sdheritage@cox.net for posting.
