SAN DIEGO (Press Release)–Gary Weitzman, president and CEO of the San Diego Humane Society and SCPA, joined Sally Costello, executive director of the Escondido Humane Society, on Wednesday, May 14, to announce their two organizations have agreed to merge “with a goal of saving the most vulnerable animals in our community.”
They said their “community partners said it made sense, and staff members were excited to join forces with long-time colleagues who share the same animal welfare core beliefs and values.”
The merger is expected to be completed in June.
